My Story
Hi, I'm, Lisa Chapek
Board-Certified Integrative Health Practitioner • Gut Health Specialist • Personal Trainer • Wife & Mama
I know what it’s like to know something isn’t right and still not have answers.
I spent years dealing with bloating, exhaustion, painful periods, acne, constipation and digestion that could be completely unpredictable. I planned workouts, meals and even where I went around how my stomach might behave that day.
I thought it was just how I was made. A “sensitive stomach.” Bad genes. Bad luck.
Sound familiar?
I Tried Everything — And Nothing Worked
For years, I chased answers. I went vegan. Then vegetarian. Then gluten-free. I tried every elimination diet I could find, cut out more and more foods, and still felt awful. At one point, I couldn’t eat anything without feeling sick.
The doctors didn’t have answers. The internet only made me more confused and more scared. And every new “solution” I tried left me feeling like maybe I was just the problem.
What I didn’t understand then was that food was only one piece of the picture. I kept taking more and more foods away without ever figuring out WHY my body was reacting in the first place.

The Day I Finally Got Some Answers
My turning point came when I was working at a health food store. I started reading books about nutrition and using food as medicine, and honestly, it opened up a whole new world for me.
For years, one of the hardest parts was wondering, why me?
Why didn't my family have these problems? Why weren't my friends dealing with this? Why could other people eat normally without thinking twice about it, while I was eating SO healthy and still dealing with digestive problems, acne, painful periods and feeling awful?
I really thought this was just how my body was made. And if eating healthier wasn't fixing it, I didn't know what else I was supposed to do.
Then I started learning that there could actually be reasons I felt the way I did. That symptoms weren't just these separate, annoying things happening to me.
That eventually led me to functional health and functional testing, and for the first time I started understanding my own body instead of constantly fighting with it.
That changed the entire direction of my health, and eventually, my career.
What Getting Better Actually Looked Like
Once I started understanding what was actually going on in my body, I could finally do something about it.
I stopped cutting out more and more foods and hoping something would work. I started supporting what my body needed, my digestion, nutrition, stress, sleep and recovery.
And it wasn't overnight. But things started changing.
The bloating got better. My digestion became more predictable. My skin cleared. My periods weren't nearly as painful. I had more energy. And I could eat without constantly worrying about how I was going to feel afterward.
I finally felt good.

Why I Do This Work
I spent a lot of years trying to figure out my health on my own, and I remember how frustrating and confusing that was.
That experience is a big part of how I work with my clients today. I don't want to guess based on symptoms or hand you a generic plan and hope it works.
I want to know what's actually going on. That's why functional testing is always part of my 1:1 work. We use that information along with your symptoms, nutrition, stress, sleep and lifestyle to figure out what your body needs.
And then I'm there to help you actually put it into practice.
Because knowing what to do is one thing. Having someone there to help you actually do it is another.
How We Work Together
Everything in your body is connected. When we support your stress response, it can help your digestion.
When we support your gut, it can impact your hormones.
When your nervous system is better supported, sleep, energy and digestion can improve too.
I look at the full picture: gut, hormones, stress, sleep, movement and environment, because these things don't exist separately.
We use functional testing to help us figure out where your body needs support, then build a plan around YOU. Nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep, supplements when needed, and changes that actually make sense for your life.
You Don’t Have to Keep Trying to Figure This Out on Your Own
You’ve tried changing your diet. You’ve tried supplements. Maybe you’ve even been told your labs look normal.
If you still know something isn’t right, maybe it’s time to look at this differently.
I can help you figure out what your body actually needs.
I’d be honored to help you find them.
